Location. Aherlow House Hotel overlooks the Glen of Aherlow, nine kilometres from Tipperary in the south of Ireland. The hotel is situated in 20 hectares of private woodland between the Galtee Mountains and Slievenamuck hills. Tipperary train station is nine kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Aherlow House Hotel comprises the original 1920s building and 14 modern self catering lodges. In the Resident's Lounge an open fire burns before Edwardian style sofas and armchairs. The front desk can provide tour assistance, safety deposit boxes, currency exchange and airport transport (surcharge). For drivers, there is complimentary parking nearby.
The hotel serves a complimentary full Irish and continental breakfast each morning in the dining room. The Treetop Restaurant, designed to resemble a traditional hunting lodge, serves a selection of locally caught seafood and international dishes. Light meals are available from the Hunting Lodge Bar.
Wireless Internet access is available and conference rooms can be hired by business guests.
On site recreation includes fishing, horse riding, mountain biking and hill walking.
Guestrooms. The 29 guestrooms at Aherlow House Hotel are simply decorated and feature antique furnishings. Amenities include wireless Internet access, direct dial phones, tea/coffee making facilities and desks. Bathrooms offer designer toiletries and hair dryers. Hypo allergenic bedding is available.
Expert Tip. Among the hills of Slievenamuck is the site of a stone tomb, set in a pleasant location offering views of the harps of cliu and into Limerick and Tipparary to the north.

Getting there. Taxis to the hotel cost approximately 150 EUR. The hotel can arrange transport from the airport on request (surcharge). All prices subject to change.
Getting around. Trains connect Tipperary, nine kilometres from the hotel, with cities such as Cork and Dublin. A hire car would be useful.
